Information & Education Should be Free

“Information & Education Should be free.” I think the Founding Fathers meant to put this in the Bill of Rights. I suppose they had more pressing matters in 1776. But it seems this idea has been lost along the way. Shame, because we live in a day where information is confined behind locked doors and education is free…at a price of course. But we don’t believe the world is stuck in it’s ways. And this isn’t a sorry conspiracy theory blog. I’m a bit more optimistic.

Tesla Motors owner Elon Musk has a reputation for being a modern day Tony Stark (sorry if you’re still stuck in the 1700’s). On top of having a badass name, Musk and the Tesla “team of ingenuity” just released their patents for their one-of-a-kind sustainable car battery to the public. “Technology leadership is not defined by patents…but rather by the ability of a company to attract and motivate the world’s most talented engineers” said Musk.

Elon Musk, there’s a place for you in the Innovative Leaders Hall of Fame my friend. You see, Tesla is participating in something that is greater than them as a company. They believe sharing something that is beneficial for the world will be…well, beneficial for the world. Why don’t more people do that? Hmmm. Tesla, keep driving forward with your dream to inspire others (pun intended).

Share what you know with those around you. You’ll inevitably learn something too, and that’s the best part.
